All
Breeds Boarding Kennels and Cattery is owned and operated by Tony and Consuela
Middleditch who live on-site. We purchased the Lyndhurst property in 1994 with
the specific intention of creating a
one-stop dog and cat facility and, as a first step, established the All Breeds
Dog Training Centre in 1995 to provide all forms of dog training, including
one-on-one teaching for difficult dogs and problem solving lessons. Now, after
several years of planning the kennel facility and cattery is a reality.
Both Tony and
Consuela are enthusiastic animal lovers, and bring to the new venture skills
developed
in corporate management and client service. Tony holds qualifications as a
professional dog trainer.
We recognise
your pets are family members, and consequently the kennel and cattery
accommodation has been designed and constructed to ensure the comfort and safety
of your pets during the time they spend with us. Dogs are be housed entirely
indoors in their own generous-sized pen located in a light and airy location
with in-floor heating, small dogs have an area separate from the larger dogs.
Cats are kept in their own part of the building and are pampered with large
enclosures and their own individual heater. Evaporative air conditioning
servicing the whole complex will ensure the comfort of both dogs and cats
whatever the season.
The
ventilation system is capable of replacing all air in the kennel and cattery
building up to 30 times per hour, whilst the high Ortech Durra Acoustic Ceiling
has been specially selected to ensure the noise level is kept to a minimum both
internally and externally. The concrete floors and walls have been treated with
Medi-Vet Antimicrobial Concrete Densifier, which seals the concrete to prevent
ingress of urine and chemicals and eradicate mould, microbes, deep seated
disease, acids, oils and body fats. All pens are disinfected daily.
Waste from
both kennels and cattery is processed by a worm farm septic system which
disposes of all solid and liquid waste. The residual water and worm castings are
then directed back into the grassed areas.
Rainwater
from the roof of the kennel and cattery building is stored in large tanks and
utilised in both the kennel and garden.
Our boarding facility
meets or exceeds all of the requirements set down by the Code of Practice for
the Operation of Boarding Establishments and the Domestic (Feral and Nuisance)
Animal Act.
