All Breeds Kennels offer dog training programs in conjunction with Pro K9 Dog Training and Behaviour Consultancy.

Pro K9 is owned and run by Judi Buchan. Judi is a Professional Trainer/Behaviourist with 9 years experience. An accredited member of the National Dog Trainers Federation (NDTF) (having successfully completed their Certificate III, Behaviourist and Scent Detection training courses) and also a member of the Master Dog Breeders Association (MDBA).

The following Pro K9 services are available at All Breeds Boarding Kennels and Cattery.

BASIC OBEDIENCE "FOUNDATION" COURSE $ 160.00 (MINIMUM AGE 18 WEEKS)

Over a period of 6 consecutive weekly training sessions in the Pro-K9 block training “Foundation” course you will learn :

Motivational techniques (eg. Reward types and delivery)

Emergency control technique

Calming techniques (eg. "Be Still")

Handling & training techniques (eg. Holding the lead; voice/tone; timing)

Application of the above to teach "sit", "drop" and "stand".

Leash Manners (ie Loose lead walking).

The foundation of "recall".

Teaching "Name Recognition" – building your dog’s response to its name.

PUPPY TRAINING PROGRAMS ( 8-16 WEEKS OF AGE) $TBC

A four week course with a maximum of 10 pups per class Course content :

Recall

Focus on owner - "Look at me"

Leash Manners - Walking nicely on lead

Canine Etiquette & socialisation skills

Owners will be coached in :

Problem solving tips and advice

Duration : Approx 45mins to 1 hour.

All puppy-preschool attendees receive a Completion Certificate at the end of their 4 week course!!

PRIVATE OBEDIENCE TRAINING LESSONS Starting from $66

Pro-K9's Private Training Sessions can be arranged to take place in your locality, in Pro-K9’s immediate locality (Berwick) or at Pro-K9's new formal private training grounds at All Breeds Boarding Kennels, Lyndhurst.

BEHAVIOURAL CONSULTATIONS $POA

Pro-K9 has behaviour problem solving experience in a broad range of fields, from excessive barking; pulling washing off the line; digging; destructive chewing; mouthing (a common problematic behaviour commencing in puppy hood!), just to mention a few ….. right through to fear and aggression towards other dogs and/or people.

Behaviour Consultations normally take place at your home. This enables your behaviourist/trainer to observe your dog in its own familiar environment and to therefore ascertain and assess the behaviour exhibited and your dog’s perceived relationship with you. There are occasions of aggressions where on-site consults are not recommended, however this will be discussed at the time of arranging a consultation appointment.

Email/telephone support is also provided in conjunction with behaviour consultation/s. To validate this additional support at no cost, Pro-K9 requests that owners remain in regular contact throughout and to report progress of the behaviour following consultation.

BOARDING AND TRAINING PROGRAMS

We can train your dog for you. Programs cover basic to advanced obedience, problem solving and many behavioural problems.

Ten days Training Package. Cost : $1250.00 (boarding & training inclusive) Teaching of the following skills : Loose Lead Walking with distraction Stand Sit Drop Recall Sit & Stay Drop & Stay with medium distraction Heel (with auto sit).
